The universal challenge among these different devices was to make each device intuitive for users while providing optimum functionality for the different technology to increase remote healthcare acceptance. We wanted to ensure there was a cohesive design language throughout the series. The tapered design of the first Mobile version was created to show the direction of interaction so that users would know where to put the cassettes. This was then carried through the other designs. Each device was designed to provide a seamless user experience, whether for personal use or clinical environments, making accurate health management accessible to all.

Designing the PixoTest® series balanced advanced functionality with ease of use. Pilotfish’s cohesive design approach visually guides users while meeting iXensor’s high-tech requirements. For PixoTest Mobile, Pilotfish developed an adaptable design to secure the device to a variety of smartphone cameras with pressure-activated adhesive and soft foam, enabling reliable, consistent testing. PixoTest BT advanced usability by adding Bluetooth, automating data transfer directly to an app. Finally, PixoTest Vision incorporated an embedded screen and expanded testing for lipid and other biomarkers, supporting both personal and clinical applications. This cohesive, intuitive design approach has made the PixoTest® series a trusted choice in remote healthcare.
